It would appear that at this stage in my life I am really good at random thoughts! I am sure you are all on the edge of seats as to what profound thoughts I intend to share. Go ahead and slide back in your seat it is just a bunch of rambles, I prefer the list method.
1. Nesting was absent a little bit, but seems to be back in full force. The great part of this is that Jay seems to be nesting to and between us, we are getting lots done. We worked on cleaning out our closet tonight and making room for some of Rebecca's things. Since her crib, dresser and changing table are in our room it will make life easier. I have also been busy washing and organizing baby clothes. BTW, I think we may have 20 baby blankets (slight exaggeration) in various shades of pink. No need to worry about Miss Rebecca getting cold.
2. Our beloved pediatrician in retiring, much to my dismay. He is a sweet older man with a wealth of knowledge. Okay, I admit that in my emotional state, I shed a tear over this news. He has taken very good care of Lillie these past 3 years and it just makes me sad to think he won't be around to take care of Rebecca. Anyway, I have decided on a office that is closer and I am sure that they are competent. I just highly doubt that the doctor will pat me on the arm and tell me what a good job I am doing. Oh well, Lillie has her 3 yr old checkup with him on Nov. 14 and we will be able to say our goodbyes then.
3. Lillie is going to be a flower girl, Rachel's very best friend is getting married and has asked that Lillie fill this special role. I am sure she would be excited, if she knew! I have not told her yet because, May 31st of 2008 is kind of a ways off and I am not really ready to answer every morning if the wedding is today! She loves weddings and anything princess. She told me the other day that when she gets bigger she wants to get married. She watched the "movie" of our wedding and was very impressed. That was the day she decided, that her Mama was a princess!
4. I added the countdown on the right of my page to highlight Baby Rebecca's arrival. Time has flown by this time and I am glad! We are very excited and can't wait for the big day! I have felt better the last few days and am thankful for that. When I think about the fact that we will have a new baby in less than 4 weeks there are so many emotions. God is good and we are so grateful for His many blessings. Lately I have been reminded of the verse in 1 Samuel 1:27 For this child I prayed;and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him... That verse means so much to Jay and I. It really is what we feel in our hearts.
As I said, these days I have so many ramblings thoughts and I am glad I have a place to share them. Thanks for visiting and be sure to come back tomorrow for my Friday Favorite!
