On my heart

Once again as we have a new year beginning I have become reflective. I reflect on things during the past year and things I would like to do differently. I don't really like to make resolutions. I have good intentions but have trouble following through.

I have really been burdened lately to make more time for the Lord. It is something that I fall short on many times. With 2 small children and keeping up with things around the house, it often gets overlooked.

My goal this year is to read through the bible. I began to research a guide to help me reach that goal. I came across One Year Bible Online. I am very impressed with the schedule they give you. They have it where everyday, for 15 minutes, you read some out of the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. When you go to their site, click on a month of the year and then choose a version of the Bible. We always use the KJV. You can click on the day of the month and they have the passage for that day.

It is very user friendly and I like the outline. I think the plan is one I can stick with. One thing I read said that usually something will happen and you will get behind, but this program will be easy to catch up with.

I just wanted to share in case there is someone out there who would like to do it as well.

Have a great week!

**Edited to Add- My good friend Amy also is going to be doing the One Year Bible and she put a gadget on her sidebar and now I have added on as well! You can read about her thoughts on it here .

I am so glad you posted this link. I was all set to order the 'One Year Bible' KJV version with my BAMM gift card! Daddy got one for Christmas from Mindy and her family, and I really liked how it was laid out with different reading sections in one day...but all in one place. Now I can just do it online. I'm like you...good intentions. Reading outlines are okay, but I do better if everything is all right there together and all I have to do is read! I've used this type of outline for a couple of years, and I really like it...more variety each day!
Thanks for posting, and I pray God's richest blessings on your sweet family!
Here's to a wonderful 2008!
Love you,
Amy
