OVERNIGHT BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

OVERNIGHT BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

6 slices bread (cut in squares)
1 c. sharp cheese, grated
6 eggs, beaten
Salt
1 lb. bulk sausage or 1 lb bacon or 2 c. diced ham
2 c. milk
1/2 tbsp. dry mustard

Place bread pieces in greased casserole. Brown sausage or bacon and drain. Spread over bread. Add 1 cup grated cheese. Make mixture of 6 eggs, 2 cups milk, salt and 1/2 tablespoon dry mustard. Pour over above and refrigerate overnight. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

My Notes:
This recipe is a new favorite, it is so good and easy. It halves well and also reheats if you have leftovers. So far the ham is my favorite! Great for Sunday morning!

Enjoy!

I love this one too! I use it a lot when I have company, so all I've got to do it pop it in the oven the next morning. My favorite is to make it with hot ground sausage (and then I add some hot sauce to my serving at the table too.)
