Fall

(Our pear tree last fall)

There is a time of year that most of us in South Georgia crave. Those mornings where there is a chill in the air. We have suffered through all of the heat we care to and long for some relief. Monday we begin to feel a difference! I turned off our air conditioner and we have had windows or a door open ever since. This morning I opened the front door and the cool air rushed in. I took a deep breath and enjoyed it. I love fall, the colors, the pumpkins, apples, soups and stews, the need for a sweater and the leaves swirling through the air.

It is kind of funny to me that both of my girls were born during my favorite season. Lillie's birthday is October 27th and Becca's is November 27th. Just the right time for outside parties and fun fall activities! This year Becca's first birthday will be on Thanksgiving, I am just so happy about that. It just seems to be the right thing, we have so much to be thankful for!
