Sometimes I think about my blog and what I would like to share. I want my blog to serve several purposes, to share pictures, update about things we do, but I also want it to be funny as well! We have all kinds of funny things happen around here. I want to share more of those things! Yesterday something happened that was just too good not to blog. Before I begin let me just say, My husband gave his permission to share!
Yesterday was a Monday, I needed a few things from town and debated going but I was tired from the weekend. And I make it a practice to try to stay home and get laundry done on Mondays.
My husband being the wonderful man that he is, offered to go pay the cell phone bill and go to Walmart to pick up my list. There were 5-10 things for him to pick up. Well the trouble started when his cell phone went dead. He called me from the pay phone twice to confirm he was getting the right things. He had some trouble but finally got it all straight. The last time I talked to him, I thought he would be on in just a few minutes because we live about 4 miles from Walmart.
Well, he didn't come and he didn't come. I commented to Angelica (who was over with Philip to help with a few projects) that Jay must still be having trouble. (Remember his cellphone is dead so I can't check on him.) Then it occurred to me -- "I bet he ran to Alltel to pay the phone bill AFTER going to Walmart. BIG MISTAKE -- the long wait time in line at Altell while the cold stuff is in the HOT truck!" She agreed probably so.
Finally he got home, walks in all flustered and I said, "Did you go to Walmart first?", he said "Yes." I said, "So all the cold stuff was in the truck getting hot?" he looked at me and said, "No, I took it in Alltel with me!"
I busted out laughing!!! What happened was, he saw it was going to be a while so he grabbed the gallon of milk and other cold items and walked in. He said he had that in one hand and a wad of cash in the other to pay the bill . There was lady that greeted him and reached out to shake his hand, with both hands full he said they kind of shook fingers! So he waited a sweet forever for his turn and then the next lady tried to shake his hand too, he said he was so flustered he did not know if she wanted to shake his hand or get the money!
Anyway, we have had more than one good laugh about how they probably thought he was homeless or something, because he had a wad of money in one hand and a gallon of milk in the other, his hair was a mess from wearing a hairnet at work all day and he had on an old t-shirt!
Needless to say, He was glad his Monday was over!

Hello Dear Beth.....
Big Smiles! Yes, we are blessed with good thoughtful husbands.... Even coping with the stress of a very hot day, a shopping list and paying a bill, Jay didn’t forget to keep the milk cool.
I well remember those ‘hot’ days, the likes of which we don’t experience here. Nevertheless, our time over there was so wonderful and the hospitality overwhelming.... meeting many lovely people like yourself. We have brought home such beautiful memories that will live in our hearts always. Love - Marion
I'm still laughing about all this!
